(30 January 2026) Shortly before the start of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis also felt called upon to position Switzerland in the discussion about the future of Greenland. Once again, Cassis cast doubt on Switzerland’s neutrality.
(23 January 2026) (CH-S) Several EU citizens have already been sanctioned by the European Commission. Two Swiss citizens have also been sanctioned: Jacques Baud – about whom “Swiss Standpoint” has already reported several times – and Nathalie Yamb. Ms Yamb was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Neuchâtel Jura and has dual Swiss and Cameroonian citizenship. For years, she has been campaigning for the sovereignty of African states. In this context, she criticises France’s influence in its former colonies.

(23 January 2026) It is important to remain vigilant and closely monitor developments in the field of “health care”. This was the message conveyed by lawyer Andrea Staubli in an interview on Hoch2.tv.1 The reason for her clearly presented expert explanations and recommendations was the example of a radical change in the health law of the canton of St. Gallen in eastern Switzerland. Increasingly, WHO guidelines are being adopted unquestioningly into Swiss law without any assessment of the sometimes serious damage caused by their implementation to date.

These measures, imposed on 15 December 2025, constitute a flagrant violation of the right to freedom of expression that characterises the rule of law and undermine Switzerland's neutrality and freedom.
