British military leaders are “heads” of the “anti-Putin coalition”

British soldiers have been in Ukraine since 2015

by Multipolar

(9 May 2025) (CH-S) Contrary to all public assurances, it can now be considered certain that British military leaders have played an extremely active role in arming Ukraine since 2015, according to the independent news portal “multipolar”.

London’s policy outside the EU, but within Europe and NATO, is notable for its particularly escalatory stance. It was also Boris Johnson’s intervention that contributed to the breakdown of the peace talks in Istanbul in the spring of 2022 by Ukraine.

Ukraine conflict

Citizens’ resolution

(9 May 2025) (CH-S) French officers are calling for clarity on their country’s involvement in the Ukraine conflict. They are therefore calling on parliament to publish all information about the presence of French troops in Ukraine since 2022 in the Official Journal of the Republic.

This appeal has been signed by more than two dozen French generals and several hundred other members of the armed forces. Since the end of April 2025, more than 30,000 signatures from French citizens have been collected in support of the appeal.

Anyone who dismisses the “Sechseläuten” as “not inclusive enough” does not understand traditions

by Kacem El Ghazzali,* Switzerland

(9 May 2025) I love Sechseläuten. And I love roasting sausages over embers with a can of beer in my hand while the flames completely consume the “Böögg”. True Sechseläuten fans are not afraid of the hot embers. They persevere. Because it is precisely this collective experience of persevering together that is the magic of this unique Zurich ritual.

(9 May 2025) Interview with former Federal Councillor Christoph Blocher*, questions by Christoph Pfluger**

Christoph Pfluger: Neutrality is primarily understood in military terms, but as we are now seeing, it also has an economic component. How do you see it?

Close the US military bases in Asia!

The best strategy for the superpowers is to stay out of each other’s lanes

by Jeffrey D. Sachs,* USA

(2 May 2025) President Donald Trump is again loudly complaining that the US military bases in Asia are too costly for the US to bear. As part of the new round of tariff negotiations with Japan and Korea, Trump is calling on Japan and Korea to pay for stationing the US troops. Here’s a much better idea: close the bases and return the US servicemen to the US.

Switzerland under pressure

Swiss neutrality – fundamentals and current developments

by Pascal Lottaz,* Japan

(2 May 2025) (CH-S) In recent weeks, pressure on Switzerland to join the European NATO alliance has increased enormously. Germany and France, as our country’s direct neighbours, as well as the United Kingdom, as a former world power, and the EU leadership want to urgently shift Europe towards a war economy and a state of readiness for war. Billions are being made available for this purpose. For them, war against Russia seems inevitable.
